Jeannette Eichelberger (Mamma Lyme)

Jeannette Eichelberger (Mamma Lyme) of our Gettysburg TOFU Lyme group died at age 73 on December 4, 2011, from complications due to Lyme Disease.  She is the mother of Lovette Mott and mother-in-law of Ken Mott who started and still maintain TOFU. For over a decade she was very active in our TOFU group which regularly held meetings at the Gettysburg Hospital and was well know for her commitment to the cause of educating the community about tick-borne diseases.

She leaves behind a devoted husband, Albert, four daughters, ten grandchildren, and seven step-grandchildren.

Before her retirement in 1995, she worked for the Social Security Administration as an analyst. She was a member of the Catonsville, Maryland Lutheran Church and active in a square and round dancing group in the Baltimore community.
